About Diane Taylor
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for supporting families on their breastfeeding journey
My Journey
I am an NHS midwife, health visitor, and a self-employed qualified lactation consultant with 12 years of experience in the NHS. Throughout my career, I've supported countless families with their infant feeding journeys, both in hospital settings as a midwife and now in the community as a health visitor.
My professional experience spans the full spectrum of maternal and infant care, providing continuous support from birth and beyond. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I bring specialised expertise in lactation alongside my broader healthcare qualifications.
I'm passionate about helping families navigate their feeding experiences, whether that's breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or formula feeding. My approach is always evidence-based, compassionate, and tailored to your individual circumstances.
Based in the North West, I offer in-person consultations within a 10-mile radius of Bolton, as well as virtual support for families further afield. I also provide group consultations if you and your friends would like support together while sharing the cost.
To qualify as an IBCLC, I completed 1000 hours of specialised lactation experience and 90 hours of training. I am committed to continuing professional development, regularly updating my knowledge and skills to ensure I can provide you with the most current, effective support for your unique situation.
